摘要：在海峡两岸清华大学发展史上，梅贻琦校长曾作出重大的历史贡献，他以卓越的办学成就享誉海内外。作为两岸清华大学共同的精神财富，梅贻琦的教育思想及其办学经验值得我们倍加珍惜。在两岸清华大学联手筹办100周年校庆之际，探讨梅贻琦的大学教育理念及其实践成就具有重要意义。

本论文主体分为六章。第一章绪论，主要包括本研究的选题意义、研究综述、

思路与方法、重点及难点；第二章概述梅贻琦的生平及性格，试析其高等教育思

想的来源和内容；第三章：论述梅贻琦在北京清华大学从普通教员到校长的从教

经历，总结在其治下国立清华大学取得的卓越成就；第四章介绍梅贻琦在西南联

合大学的主政事迹，以及抗战胜利后带领清华大学复员的过程，论述其在战争岁

月中对国家教育事业的重大功绩；第五章探究梅贻琦晚年离开大陆以后在台湾重

建清华大学的过程，阐述其对台湾学术走向和科技发展起到的突出贡献；第六章

总结梅贻琦一生的办学贡献及深远影响，思考梅贻琦办学的成功经验对今天高等

教育的启示与借鉴。

通过系统的历史考察和初步的理论分析，本文得出以下研究结论：第一，在

长期的教育实践中，梅贻琦把西方先进国家的教育理念和我国的优秀教育传统完

美结合，形成了许多有价值的教育思想和观念；第二，梅贻琦既是两岸清华大学

的主要创建者，也是中国近现代杰出的教育家。他在抗战时期的艰难条件下，执

掌西南联大，使之成为中国近现代高等教育的奇迹。第三，梅贻琦注重通识教育

和通才培养，其办学理念和教育实践，为当今大学教育管理模式变革与创新人才

培养，提供了有益的历史借鉴与启示。

梅贻琦是一位实干型的教育家，素有寡言君子之称，留存至今的著作较少，除《清华学校的教育方针》、《大学一解》(与潘光旦合写)、《工业化的前途与人才问题》外，其余多是各种集会的讲话稿，其思想尚待进一步挖掘与研究。

学术界对梅贻琦的研究主要围绕以下几方面展开：1．挖掘整理梅贻琦的个人文献及回忆性文章。2．全面介绍梅贻琦教育思想及实践。3．重点介绍某一方面教育观点与理论。(1)通才教育(2)教授治校(3)大师论

Abstract：In Ttsinghua universities’history on both sides of the Taiwan Strait，President Mei Yi—Chi have made important contributions．He is well-known with his outstanding achievement of running schools．Mei Yi-Chi’s educational idea and experience is the common spiritual wealth of these two Ttsinghua universities，they are worth cherishing．At the time that Beijing Tsinghua University and Hsinchu Tsinghua University jointly organized the Mei Yi-Chi’s university education concept and practical achievements have great significance．

There are six parts in this paper．The introduction describes the significance of research，the research review, ideas and methods，emphasis and difficulty；The second chapter outlines about Mei Yi-Chi’s life and character, higher education thoughts’ source and content；Chapter 3：discusses Mei Yi-Chi’S experience from a teacher to the principal in Beijing Tsinghua university, summarizes the remarkable achievement of National Tsinghua University．The fourth chapter presents Mei Yi-Chi’ s deeds in the National Southwest Associated University and the demobilization process after Sino-Japanese War, discusses his major achievements in the War years．The fifth chapter explores the process of reconstruction Tsinghua University in Taiwan after Mei Yi-Chi leaving Mainland China, explains the outstanding contribution to the academic and technological development in Taiwan．The last chapter summarizes the contribution and far-reaching influence of Mei Yi-Chi，thinking about the implications and reference in today of his successful experience of running a school．

This paper made some conclusions by historical inspection and preliminary theoretical analysis：First，in the long-term education practice，Mei Yi．Chi formed many valuable education ideas and concepts by combining the advanced western countries education idea and our excellent education traditional perfectly．Second， Mei Yi-Chi is the main founders of two Tsinghua Universities in Taiwan and the mainland China, and also an outstanding educator of modem China．He in charge of National Southwest Associated University during the Sino-Japanese war, and made it the miracle of modem Chinese higher education．Third，Mei Yi-Chi focused on general education and generalists cultivating，his education ideas and practice providing a useful historical reference and inspiration for today's university education reform and innovation personnel training．
