摘 要：近年来许多美国学者的研究均指出院校分层和学生隔离及其相互渗透已成为美国高等教育领域不公平现象的重要特征 基于不同种族社会阶层以及在某种程度上不同性别的学生在获得高等教育机会尤其是在获得优质高等教育机会上存在着差别是美国高等教育中存在的最不公平的现象之一 在我国高等教育日益大众化的今天美国高等教育中存在的不公平现象及其变化特征值得我们关注和重视。

关键词：美国高等教育；院校分层；学生隔离；教育公平

总结：1. 现今的美国高等教育领域，基于不同种族、社会阶层和性别间的差别在高等教育机会获得上和过去相比已经发生了很大的变化：性别间不公平大幅减少，种族间不公平也因多年干预在某种程度上得到缓和，但社会阶层间的不公平却仍然广泛存在。

2. 以种族、社会阶层和性别等为对象的高等教育资源分配的不公平不仅表现在高等教育机会获得上，还突出地表现在优质高等教育机会的获得上。

3. 在美国的高等教育系统中，学生隔离主要体现在种族和社会阶层两个因上。在前者黑人拉美裔和印第安裔等少数族裔学生中的大部分集中在第三四五类院校，而在位居整个高等教育顶层的前两类院校特别是在全美最顶尖的综合性大学和收费高昂的文理学院中，其学生仍然是以白人为主。

4. 从院校分层的角度来看，性别隔离在美国高等教育领域中已逐渐消失。

5. 在我国，高等教育扩招已进行多年，进入大学变得越来越容易时，不同群体的学生进入精英、名牌大学面临的差别，理应成为我国高等教育领域不公平研究新的关注点。

Stratification in Higher Education and Students’ Segregation: An Analysis of the Unjust Phenomenon in American Higher Education

Abstract: In recent years，many American scholars have pointed out that the stratification in higher education and the students’segregation and their inter-penetration had become an important feature of the unfair phenomena in the American higher education field. The disparity of achieving higher education opportunity，specially the disparity of achieving high quality higher education among different races，social classes，and to some extent different students’ gender，is one of the most unjust phenomena in American higher education. In the process of China's higher education massification，we should pay close attention to the unfair phenomena in the American higher education and its change characteristics.
