美国少数民族教育:现状与趋势

摘要:多元化是美国社会的重要特征,伴随着移民潮的出现以及少数族裔出生率的上升,提高少数族群的教育质量和机会成为当前美国教育改革的核心理念。在描述近几十年来美国少数族裔人口分布的基础上,认为教育成就虽然因种族的不同而有差异,但在NCLB法案和特许学校运动的努力下,各少数族群学生的学业成就都有了很大改善。

Present Situation and Tendency of Education for Ethnic Minorities in America

Abstract:Multination is an important characteristic of American society. With the immigration surge and the rise of birth rate of ethnic minorities, it has become a core concept of the current education reform in America to uplift education quality and opportunity for ethnic groups. After describing population distribution of ethnic groups in America in recent decades, the writer believes that though different academic achievements result from different ethnic groups, under the help of the passing of NCLB Act and the Charter School Movements, ethnic students all have made great progress in their academic achievements.
