西方变革领导理论对中国学校改革的启示

摘要:中国自20世纪90年代开始推行素质教育改革,改革的重点逐步由宏观教育体制落实到学校层面。素质教育改革客观上要求学校改变传统组织文化和结构,注重人的全面发展。变革型领导理论已被证实为推动学校变革和发展的主要模式。这一领导模式通过促进教师的专业发展,实现学校文化的重塑和教育质量的提升。本文对变革领导理论的核心内容和研究进展进行了阐述,旨在了解并掌握西方“学校领导引领变革”的知识基础,以期对中国学校改革有所助益。

总结:1、西方变革理论的本质在于促进领导者与追随者互相激发和提升,进而将追随者转变为领导者。
2、学校中的变革型领导实践主要具有三大维度:一是制定方向,二是人员发展,三是重新进行组织设计。
3、与传统的学校领导理论相比,学校变革型领导理论主要具有以下特点:
(1)变革型领导强调组织成员独特的价值观。
(2)变革型领导是一种“关系领导”。
(3)变革型领导具有发展取向。
(4)变革型领导的根本在于促进组织的转变,在学校改革的背景下具有特殊重要的意义。
Transformational Leadership Theory and Its Implications for School Reform in China

Abstract: The focus of reform for quality education, initiated in China during the 1990s, has shifted from systemic chang to change at the school level. This new focus requires a transformation of the traditional culture and structure of school organization and an emphasis on the all一around development of students. Transformational leadership theory has been widely used as the leading model for school change.This model advocates taking teacher professional development as a means to restructure school organizational culture and to improve education quality. This article introduces the salient features of transformational leadership and analyzes the knowledge base of change leadership in the hope of illuminating implications for school reform in China.
