Abstract:The article discusses the U.S. Department of Education's formative assessment Comprehensive Assessment of Leadership for Learning (CALL) and its role in the improvement of teaching and learning. Topics include CALL's formative assessment of school leadership practices to improve student learning, the assessment survey's five domains of leadership practice, and the results of a CALL research project performed by the authors.
