Abstract：Drawing upon empirical data, this article explores the ways in which school culture and leadership impact on new teachers' learning in the workplace. The study was carried out over a two-year period and involved a cohort of 14 new teachers and 18 elementary and secondary schools. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the new teachers and head teachers and a questionnaire which was also administered to all staff in each of the schools. Findings suggest the key role of school culture and leadership in (re)shaping teachers' response to the institutional and situational constraints of the workplace and their learning and socialization process at school. Implications for induction and the role of schools in fostering teacher professional growth are discussed.

1、借鉴经验的数据，本文探讨了学校文化和领导对新教师学习方式的影响。这项研究进行了两年，涉及到14位新教师以及18所中小学。

2、通过对新教师和校长的半结构化访谈和每所学校所有教师的调查问卷进行数据收集。研究结果表明，学校文化和领导的关键作用在于（重新）塑造新教师在学校学习和社会化的过程中应对工作的制度和环境的限制。同时，本文也对感应和学校促进教师专业成长的作用进行了讨论。
