摘要：国际化不仅改变着社会经济、文化的存在形态，还影响着高等教育发展的进程与大学组织的办学模式。香港科技大学作为一所年轻的现代高等学府，在国际化理念指导下实现了师资队伍、学术研究等方面的国际化，从而屹立在世界知名研究型大学之列。香港科技大学的国际化理念及成功办学经验，对高等教育改革，特别是高水平大学的建设有着重要的启示作用。

总结：高等教育国际化作为高等教育发展的一个重要战略选择，如今已经成为高等教育发展不可抵挡的一个潮流，大学纷纷将国际化作为谋求自身跨越式发展的重要途径，更是年轻大学实现“异军突起”的必然选择。香港科技大学作为一所年轻的、充满活力的而又急剧上升的现代高等学府，在较短时间内实现跨越式发展的过程中，国际化的理念始终贯穿着香港科技大学办学的始终。在发展战略的制定与选择上，学校紧紧围绕“国际化”这一办学理念，不断加强师资队伍建设、不断拓展学术研究空间与开辟新的研究领域。香港科技大学正是通过走国际化的道路，在较短的时间内创造了自己的“学校品牌”，并迅速进入世界著名研究型大学之列。

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s International Running Ideas and Its Enlightenment

Abstract: The internationalization is not only changing the social economy and culture type, but also influencing the developmental process of higher education and the running mode of university. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as a younger and modern institute of higher education, achieves the internationalization in aspects of teaching staff, academic research and so on, accordingly ranks in the most famous research oriented universities. The international ideas and successful experiences of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology play an important role to enlighten the revolution of higher education in China and the construction of high-level university especially.
