Abstract: This study sought to ascertain the perspectives of public secondary school principals on the process they utilize when hiring teachers. In their discussion of the hiring process, the principals noted that they found that structured processes promote better hiring decisions. The administrators stressed the importance of allowing enough time for the process as well as checking references and verifying their accuracy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
