Principals Lack Training in Shaping School Climate

Abstract: The article discusses research on U.S. school principals and school leadership by the National Institute of School Leadership indicating that school principals need more training to improve school climates through their relationships with teachers and staff. Topics include Clyde A. Cole, the director of a principal-training curriculum provider called New Leaders, as well as comments by school principal Rachel J. Neill, who graduated from the New Leaders' program.
