Better principal training is key to school reform

Abstract: The article discusses the training of school principals, and argues that effective training and professional development of school leaders is essential to successful education reform. The assertion that greater rigor is needed in principal education is offered, and the statement that leadership is second only to teaching in predicting student success is presented.
