院校研究的视角:民办高校迫切需要加强自身研究

摘要:院校研究是一种基于本校情境，以问题为中心、以实践为导向的高等教育研究的新范式。民办高校是我国高等教育的新生事物，由于其产生的历史背景的特殊性、承担的历史使命的独特性、发展阶段的关键性、面临问题的复杂多样性，相比其他高校，更加迫切需要加强院校研究，以促进学校的迅速转型、健康持续发展和提高管理水平。朱玉所著《树人探究》一书，在浙江树人大学的实践基础上，从院校研究的视角对民办高校进行了新的研究和探索，为浙江树人大学及其他民办高校的发展提供了理论和实践的借鉴意义。

总结：《树人探究》一书收录了树人大学校长朱玉在2005年5月至2008年8月间的有关树人大学发展和建设的回顾、发展规划的文章和讲话。这一时期恰好是树人大学实现转型、勇创特色、全面建设合格本科院校时期,所以本书始终围绕一个主题,即树人大学的办学理念---树人为本,在学校特色、学校定位、学科建设和教师队伍建设、管理等方面对树人大学自身建设和发展,以前瞻的构思和富有使命感的态度,对树人大学进行了科学的研究,也为树人大学健康有序的发展提供了理论依据。
第一部分介绍了办学特色---树人大学的追求目标。
第二部分介绍了科学定位---树人大学的发展基石。立足浙江、服务全国、面向世界,培养满足社会多元化需求、适应21世纪经济建设和社会和谐发展需要、“基础扎实、知识面宽、人格健全,具有较强适应能力、实践能力和创新创业精神的高级应用型人才”。
第三部分介绍了学科发展---树人大学的发展动力。
第四部分介绍了队伍建设---树人大学的质量保障。
朱玉校长的新著《树人探究》一书是院校研究视角的民办高校自身研究的典型代表,它不但为浙江树人大学的发展提供了帮助,也为其它民办高校的健康有序发展提供了借鉴。

Abstract: Institutional research is a new paradigm for high education research which is situation based, problem centered and practice oriented. As a new thing in China, non-governmental institution of higher learning urgently need to strengthen their own institutional research comparing to the other high education because of it’s particular historical origin, unique historical mission, critical developing stage and complicated problem it faced. The institutional research would promote a rapid transformation of school a development under a consistent and healthy way, and enhance the management level Mr. Zhu Yups book Probe into Shuren, which based on Zhejiang Shuren University, carried out a new research and exploration on Non-governmental institution of higher learning from the view of institutional research, which provide theoretical and practical guidance for the development of Zhejiang Shuren University and other non-governmental institutions of higher learning.
