论现代大学制度与大学校长职业化

摘要：大学校长职业化是指将校长作为一个职业,而不是一个职务，核心是校长专业化。推进大学校长职业化是建设中国现代大学制度的重要环节。本文认为办学理念是职业化大学校长的治校灵魂；规范、程序化的校长遴选制度是职业化的前提；科学制定职业标准和任职资格是职业化的核心；而合理的薪酬体系是职业化的保障。

近年我国台湾和香港地区高校也开始重视大学校长遴选制度的研究，如黄俊杰编的5大学理念和大学校长遴选6和5大学的决策与管理6等。在台湾大学召开了“大学校长遴选与治校风格”研讨会等。大学校长研究将成为高等教育研究的热点问题。我们认为建立“公开招聘、民主评议、委员会决定、组织审查、国家任命”的大学选拔和任命制度是大学校长职业化的主要内容，也是现代大学制度的要求。

四、职业标准与任职资格：职业化大学校长的核心

美国著名大学在每一任校长的遴选中均有明确标准。文中列举了杜克大学、康奈尔大学招聘其校长时的遴选标准。值得借鉴。

五、合理的薪酬体系：大学校长职业化的保障
